Endless Summer
It was a steep learning curve seeking to capture aerial images of the coast around Devon and Cornwall. The incredible weather window provided countless opportunities to plan exciting shoots and hit the road early to capture these in the early morning light. In the video below, you can get a sense of the incredible conditions for maritime aerial photography this summer. All of the still images in this highlights reel are on sale as prints in the gallery.

Ice Cream Chllin’
‘Iridescent’ - Mothecombe
Surfing Cow Ice Cream is a really exciting company that based near Mothecombe Beach in Devon. A few years ago when the price of milk really crashed, the Dairy Farm had to think creatively in order to stay afloat so branched out into using the milk to make ice cream which could be sold as a premium. At around the same time, Mothecombe Beach went from being a Private to a Public beach which meant an exponential increase in footfall, almost on the Farm’s doorstep. Looking at this as an opportunity, rather than a threat, the onsite shop was able to capitalise on hot beach goers demand for cool gelato, and the business has grown from strength to strength even since.
The idyllic coastal location of the Farm, enables the business to also fun family activities including a maize maze and sunflower trail. Unlike a number of farms where the Maze itself is pre-programmed by GPS, the shape of their maze is cut intuitively by the farmer driving his tractor. Consequently, this summer I was commissioned by Surfing Cow Ice Cream to get some aerial shots of the maze to see what it looked like from above. Given the incredible location and fantastic early morning light on the day of the shoot, I was able to put the following package together.

Celtic Wiseman (Mannin)
Highlights from the Celtic Wiseman (Mannin)
At the start of July, I headed to the Isle of Man for the Celtic Wiseman cycling series. The landscape was incredible with a tremendous diversity of settings from coves framing turquoise waters next to ancient castles, rugged moorland, and mountains that feel like you are in the Scottish Highlands.
